Notes: Associated with Eucalyptus, all on one side of a 10’ paved path. Across the path, there were only Arbutus, with fb’s presumably associated with those (obs 186909)

These are pretty old specimens and the bases have lost their luster (and gained fungivorous fungi) but yes, the bases are essentially/initially bright yellow.

That’s a big’un. Did you slice the stipe to see if the base was bright yellow?
