The plot thickens

The new photo doesn’t seem to have any soredia. (At least not on the Hypogymnia, there are some other genera mixed in that have soredia.) Zaca’s H. imshaugii looks better now. I think it might be best to leave this at genus and cutour losses! But I’ll leave my votes low – feel free to override…

But the overall shape looks “off” for H. physodes. Another option is H. vittata. If a specimen were available for verification, one could check if the inner cavity darkened toward the center. Also the medulla would be P- for H. vittata. (Compared to white inner cavity and P+o/r medulla in H. physodes.)
