Notes: Same spot as obs 188084.

Growing in both grass and dirt, near pine.

Faint or no odor.

Absolutely partial veil remnants on the stipe.

Does resemble S. pseudobrevipes

but with obvious problems. 1) pores bruise dark brown to black in age; 2) stipe not “yellowish in age” (Arora).

OTOH, base of stipe has what could be construed as brown spores (photos 4-7).

I think the first specimen (photos 1-3) have an annulus attached to the stipe as well as portions still attached to the cap edge.

Still no reply on pine nearby. Maybe other tree species?
