and ring of volval material near, but above, the stipe base all suggest A. rhacopus; however, we are find that there are many genetically distinct species(?) in the “rhacopus group”; so I hesitate to put a name on this.

At the moment, we are learning how to separate some members of the group morphologically and are still finding new members (one in the last few days) by molecular work.

This belongs in sect. Vaginatae. There’s no specimen?
