Notes: Another obscure fungus growing on the bottom of a rotting hardwood log. Slim pickins these days!

Recognized by sight: At least one of these is a Hymenochaete. In the top picture 37154 the piece on top is definitely Hymenochaete, with that rusty context that will turn black in KOH. I’m not sure the fungus under it is the same thing. If not, I don’t know what it is and it may be the same as the one in the link you provided

All the photos are of the specimens in photo 37155. They were all growing on the bottom of the same log.
