Observation 187482: “Heterobasidiomycetes” R.T. Moore
When: 2014-11-05
No herbarium specimen

Notes: I found a clear jelly fungus growing on a small twig in a mixed forest of conifers and hardwoods (twig was from a hardwood). I had never seen a clear Jelly fungus before. The only clear jelly fungus I could find online is Tremella fuciformis; which is normally found in tropical and sub-tropical climates (supported by observations on this site). So, I am surprised to find it here in the Willamette Valley (near the Colburg Hills).

Even though the pictures make this fungus appear white, it was definitely clear. I would appreciate a confirmation that this is Tremella fuciformis.
