This obs. is in the process of becoming a truffle, and sequesteriong its spores, although not quite completely. If you look at the cross section (3rd photo) many of the gill lamellae have grown together, eliminating air as spore dispersal mechanism. Being found under a house is another clue. A house could act as a casing medium (completely covering) the sporocarp.

Next step requires microscopy.
