In an area where most trees are Black cottonwood, Pine or Douglas-fir, and Bigleaf maple. This particular observeration is with a single planted specimen of Oregon White oak (Quercus garryana).

Cap is pink-brown, vase-shaped, with dark red in center. Striate cap. Edges of gills at cap edge are brown or chocolate brown. Stipe is alternately pithy-filled and hollow. In cross-section, possible to see the brown-red coloring of the cap.


In situ.
Found with Oregon White oak. Has chocolate brown cap edge and gills at edges.
