Observation 18789: Bolbitius vitellinus (Pers.) Fr.
When: 2009-01-11
No herbarium specimen

Notes: This one came in, and it is a different form of this species. It is much stouter, with a thick stipe and firm cap. The cap was viscid, the gills were pallid to light tan at first, and then became pinkish after a couple hours, by the end of the day, and after in the drier the gills had become a nice solid brown. The gills are not free.
