Obvious bruising, growing in dune grass in amongst shore pine and alongside Psilocybe cyanescens.

Recognized by sight: The stipe in P. azurescens is longer and thinner than it is in P. allenii. In addition, the cap is thinner. While P. allenii has been found in coastal dune grasses, P. cyanescens and P. azurescens are much more common along the mouth of the colombia river.
