The sheathlike veil is closer to the bottom of the stipe and resembles a volva. the gills are free.

the gills are close and pink, there are two scaly rings on the upper part of the stipe and a sheathlike veil. the stipe is about 3cm thick, narrowing at the base and the margin of the cap is inrolled.

a dark brown spore deposit is visible just above the sheathlike veil of the mushroom in the foreground. The cap of the mushroom in the background has a central indentation, but is otherwise convex.
