Observation 188256: Psilocybe (Fr.) P. Kumm.

Notes: Fruiting in grass(NOT COPROPHYLLIC/ON DUNG) beneath small pines. Although manure and hay are dropped here seasonally from June to October- these fruitings are always from grass tufts, not directly from dung. Near the edge of a large horse pasture.

Stems: flexible, easily wrap around index finger without snapping, rubbery. Bluing slightly where handled in larger, older specimens.

Odor: Very sweet, farinaceous.

Elevation: 3800ft.

Temp: mid 30’s.
