Observation 188712: Hypholoma fasciculare (Huds.) P. Kumm.

When: 2014-11-16

Collection location: near Georgetown, El Dorado Co., California, USA [Click for map]

Who: fewteeth

No specimen available

pretty poor pics of small, thick-fleshed fungi growing in my lawn around the stump of an old cherry tree. Can’t find anything similar in my books. The cap is delicately frosted with light reddish brown. Doesn’t show too well in this light.

When trying to focus on small objects, it may be better to put them in your hand, and then wait for the camera to autofocus them. This can take a while, but you will see better photos, I think.
