My camera is not great and the conditions where fairly dark, it does have a slight reddish hue to it, but much more on the buff/tan colored than red or pink. Definitely not pink like C. rosea, indeed that would be one messed up C. rosea to look like this. Should be easily told apart when I put it under the scope.

You’d be surprised what you can find at Sly park in the fall. There was lots of dendrocollybia out that day as well and an Oligoporus amarus on fallen cedar in the middle of the Limacella patch. In total there was about 120 we saw over the 6 mile walk, too overwhelming for Thea and myself to document.

Indeed be S. neesi or something new. This was found close to a nice fruiting of Limacella, so that stole the show for the day. I’ll have to dig it up out of the herbium to check it out.
