Observation 18900: Anthina flammea Fries

When: 2008-10-04

Collection location: Maurerwald, Vienna, Austria [Click for map]

Who: Gerhard Koller (Gerhard)

Specimen available

Notes:
This is called “flaming tail” in German and belongs to the fungi imperfecti. It is the second time that I found this. It is obviously very rare but also very nice. Because it is so small it is not easy to discover and grows mainly on rotting leaves of oaks.
