Observation 189124: Tricholoma pardinum Quél.
When: 2014-11-08
0 Sequences

The white caps on these had short appressed scales that can be seen by going to larger magnifications. They seemed to turn somewhat grayish with age or drying and were light gray after complete drying.
Spore print was white and spores not amyloid.
Spores were ~ 7.0-9.3 X 5.0-6.1 microns, mostly ellipsoid(Qave. = 1.50) and smooth.
The odor was somewhat farinaceous and the taste was mild.
The closest match I could find was Tricholoma argenteum but that species caps seem more grayish virgated, and reportedly acrid tasting and with no odor.
