Observation 189359: Mycena corticola (Pers.) Gray

No herbarium specimen

Notes: The caps on these mushroom were about 2.5 mm in diameter growing with lichens, moss.

I am trying to get spore, but I don’t have high hopes, these are very small.

Attached gills, open gills, thin stalk.

These are so small I could not handle them. I used a knife blade tip to pry out a few onto wax paper.

Growing from rotting Oak branches that were on the ground. This trail is entirely hardwoods, primarily oak.

I may try to go back with a better camera and get shots with more detail.
