Observation 189367: Mycena pura (Pers.) P. Kumm.

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Growing in an area of mixed Hardwoods, mostly Oak – no pines. Growing in path with much forest litter.

Mycellium at base of stem made a thick mat and was white.

Cap – dry; 1-3/8 " across. no liquid flowing when broken but moist. Top of cap peels. Flesh pink, granular, soft – not brittle.

Gills – lighter pink than stem or cap – free

Stem – Cap/stem ration = 1, L=1-3/8 ". Stem fribrous but not brittle, hollow. Larger at base and yellow at base in mature fruit.

Smell – none or “clean smell”
