Observation 189672: Pluteus sect. Hispidoderma

Notes: Growing on log in photo, probably tanoak.
Caps up to 6.5 cm across.
Spore print dark salmon.
Spores ~ 6.8-8.0 X 5.9-6.9 microns, subglobose to broadly ellipsoid.
Q(ave.) = 1.16 Q(range) = 1.13-1.23
Gill cystidia not abundant and seemed to be mostly Cheilocystidia, 65-105 X 15-40 microns, utriform.

This is in section Hispidoderma. The general aspect, the lack of clear ornamentation in the stipe and the presence of some color in the stipe makes me think of something in the P. leoninus / P. roseipes group.
