Notes: Growing in root zone / leaf litter of coast live oak (Quercus agrifolia), adjacent to trail and lots of poison oak (Toxicodendron diversilobum).

Heavy, meaty mushroom that stained blue within a couple seconds of scraping/bruising.

Stem and cap more ovoid than circular… photos generally reflect the wide part of the mushroom.
