Observation 1900: Russula brevipes var. acrior Shaffer

Notes: The day after on these, the gills were clearly pale minty green, where they were white when first plucked from the ground. Again this pale minty green doesn’t seem to come out well in the photos here.

Also the lamellae on these is almost like a Hygrophorus, very soft and pliable, not brittle.
