I was confused there for a moment until I compared the white one from your observation, haha. I didn’t realize you meant exactly the same one!

Yeah, if you go back and it is in any stage of recognition, do get a shot of the gills, i want to see what colour they are. Otherwise we’ll just hope that more come up.

We didn’t look under it, I took a pic from below and didn’t even look at it until I posted it here. If I had seen the pic I would have collected the mushroom. It was growing in the same habitat as lots of other Psathyrella longipes but was not near any of them. Its right next to a big chanterelle patch, I’ll probably be by there again soon.

No, I didn’t get any other pictures of the white one and it is indeed a different specimen than the one showing the gills. Hope that helps…

That first pic looks like the same white one that is shown in observation 18995. The second pic is a different mushroom, right? Did you get any other pics of the white one?
