Notes: This observation is for the white lichen off on the bottom left of the photo not the lichen from observation 190772. If needed I can re-crop. Spot test K+ yellow.

I’m a bit hesitant to give full support to the name owing to the size of the specimen and no soralia being visible. But honestly, I can’t think of anything else it could be. The gestalt of this species is distinctive.

And yes, the cortex should be K+y.

(I think this species is in Brodo et al’s Lichens of North America, but perhaps not in McCune’s Macrolichens of the Pacific Northwest.)
