Observation 19099: Cortinarius (Pers.) Gray

Notes: My notes got mixed up a bit on this one, but I think the following are the correct notes for these photos:

Small clusters in leaves near wood; CAP around 4 cm wide, dry, smooth, silky-striate, tan over context that bruises yellow; FLESH white brusing vivid yellow, especially below pileus, bruises orange-red-brown near base of stipe; STIPE tapered abruptly at base to a root-like bundle of rhizimorphs; SPORES ?; VEIL v evanescent cortina; OTHER no odor, eventually the entire thing turned yellow to slightly orangish.

(I think the pileus and gills changed color a bit between taking the photo and describing it several hours later, thus the “tan over yellow context” comment despite the photo clearly showing an almost orange-brown color.)
