Since the consensus name is now changed, it hardly matters.
The voting system on MO sometimes requires slightly illogical confidence ratings to be applied to make the consensus name appear as the user intends.

If it is either Tulostoma or Bovista, it certainly is also a Gasteromycete.

damnably difficult to determine species. That said, the major clue here is the fine sand it is growing in. Tulostoma often grows in fine sand. Bovista is less likely to be in that habitat, but it can occur.
