Notes:
Underside images of log had such a great representation of mycelium and Hyphae threads that they are included. On hardwood, possibly locust.

Temp: 65, sunny. Unusual front of warm weather this week. When we arrived over a week ago it was 12 degrees, when we left it was almost 70!

The vote on account that Trametes elegans does not occur in the 50 states. I did not look but agree with your assessment after viewing it.

Tiny pores

The pores are way too small, not irregular enough, and the tubes too deep for T. aesculi in my opinion
