Observation 192048: Cantharellus cinnabarinus (Schwein.) Schwein.

When: 2014-10-17

Collection location: Rich Mount, Polk Co., Arkansas, USA [Click for map]

Who: Bob Beatson (katfoote)

No specimen available

Notes:
Hardwood forest, in small gullie on steep slope. Water in gullie near the fungus. Gills looked to be decurrent. Cap approx. 2-3cm. Didn’t note what it was growing on, but looked to be soil in small rocks. Cap looks like a small rodent worked on the margin.
