Observation 192096: Agaricales sensu lato
When: 2014-10-03
No herbarium specimen

Notes: -This specimen was associated with hardwood, and there was gregarious growth. -When I smelled it, there was no odor.
-The diameter of the light orange brown pileus was 1.5 cm.
-The structure looked dry and dull, but it felt somewhat silky and smooth.
-The pileal shape was broadly parabolic, and the margins looked to be plicate striate.
-When the specimen was halved, the flesh was white/cream colored.
-There were no significant changed when this structure was damaged.
-I collected two forms of the sample—mature and immature.
-I observed that the mature form had a dark brown stipe while the immature form had a white stipe.
-The stipe measured to be about 5 cm in length and 0.1 cm in width.
-Also, the stipe was observed to be hollow and equal in shape.
-The base was inserted.
-Overall, the stipe appeared to be smooth.
-The cream colored gills were adnate and even. Two lamellae tiers were observed which were arranged in a regular pattern.
