Notes: Found at 9:56am.
Located in the middle of the woods in an open area.
Saprobic, growing as a cluster of 3 or singly on clay-like, rocky soil (broken, thick, cracks in the ground) near a tree stump.
Fruiting body:
-color: orange, highly colored
-shape: cup fungi, circular but also irregular/lobed areas (that push to the inside, looks like the outline of the number 3), 3 cups attached together at one point in the middle that connect to the bottom of the cups
-size: 1.5-3.2cm, some others on the ground that grew singly were much smaller.
-top surface: smooth, silky, shiny, moist, flexible, thin
-bottom surface: dry, rough
