Observed growing in soil among pine needle litter, in the vicinity of gray pine and/or Ponderosa pine trees. This pair of specimens were by themselves but essentially growing out of a common base. Surface of caps were sticky. Cap diameters were 13 and 15 cm, respectively, and stipes were slightly curved and about 5 cm long. Yellowish tubes beneath cap, and yellowish stipe.
