even pallescens can get a hint of gray pink as it ages.

tough call; very similar mushrooms. have we DNA compared these, yet?

how useful it would be to actually see those four or five collections of californiensis (so we say) from Humboldt!

a picture is worth more than just a name. and even pictures only go so far.
