found on a tree trunk in Deep River County Park, Indiana on October 10, 2014. This area is oak forest, which consists of elm and oak trees. This park is near farm, industry, and residential areas. This organism was a shelf fungus. It had alternating colors of tan and brown. Its surface was smooth but had ridges. The underneath side was white and was pored.
