Notes: Location: Miller Beach, Gary, Indiana, USA
Habit: Scattered on the ground
Fruiting body: Round Puffball covered with white warts that are breaking into patches. Very short stipe-like structure (base).
Fruiting body color: Beige whitish warts covering a brown inner skin that appears at the center of the Puffball.
Fruiting body Surface: Dry and buffy. Areolate/ cracked and squarrose scales covering the surface.
Fruiting body size: 2 to 4 cm.
Flesh: The ball filled with brownish spore dust.
Odor: earthy
Latex: None
Annulus: None
Volva type: None
