Observation 193266: Suillus tomentosus (Kauffman) Singer

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Found in early December 2014 under pine trees in a cluster of about 10 coming out of sandy soil,…cap light yellow to cream color and dry,stems yellow with tiny brownish specks, nice earthy smell, blues very easily, my fingers got brown stained from handling…fried in butter…very nice flavor…sorry no spore test…Note: I have found no reference to this mushroom being found in the south…
