Notes: Fir stump. Couldn’t get it to focus on the pores. They are small but there.

It doesn’t smell at all like anise. Gloeophyllum protractum would be the closest after that. And even so the pores do not seem lamellae. Gloeophyllum according to P. Karst is are “distinctly lamellate to daedaloid”. Its hard to tell from the pic, but it seems to be neither.
