Observation 193387: Lactarius alnicola A.H. Sm.

Notes: Found under and around Quercus (oak tree) both alone and in groups of 2-4. Cap was wet and very slightly slimy, though it has been raining for a few days. The two specimens examined had hollow stipes. Cap flesh was initially tasteless but then slowly became bitter.
