Observation 193671: Suillus cothurnatus Singer

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Found growing among longleaf pines on a suburban lawn. A small Suillus: the larger ones had caps with diameters of no more than three inches and even shorter stipes. Younger ones had tight-fitting, thick partial veils. The colors varied from drab cinnamon to golden to yellow.
