Sorry I don’t remember what trees were around. There seemed to be mostly native trees on the trail. A. phalloides were not out yet at the time. About 3 weeks later, A. p. were abundant.
any phalloides in the area?
Among other things, I’m studying the Phalloideae in North America. We are making progress with eastern species, but have a need for recent collections of western species other than A. phalloides. If you have an opportunity to collect and dry material of A. ocreata, I would be very grateful if you would send me that portion of such collections that you may wish to send.
