Observation 193982: Scleroderma reae Guzmán
When: 2014-10-21
No herbarium specimen

Notes: These fruit bodies were found in a landscaped area on the HSU campus. Closest match I found was S. reae although the sterile base on these specimens was very miniscule. KOH was more or less negative, the drop appeared “reddish” as Michael Kuo says in his description. However I speculate that this is only because of how the liquid affects the light because a drop of water looks exactly the same.
