Notes: Growing near Manzanita and possibly tanoak or Chinquapin.
Caps up to 5.2 cm across.
Spores ~ 6.8-8.0 X 5.2-6.2 microns, broadly ellipsoid(Qave = 1.21)
Shaky ID with European name.

something in the anomalus group, but hardly caninus, which mainly grows with spruce and with a cap that turns darker brown.
