Growing in yard among irises, near a pine tree. Soil somewhat sandy and well-drained. Caps up to 7.5 cm across. Young caps sticky. Crushed young caps smell like grass. Gills sinuate, minutely scalloped, and young specimens have a few droplets on some gill edges. Spore print light brown. Stalks solid, fibrillose up to 5.5 cm long, 1-1.5 cm in diameter. Fibrils look flaky at apex. Bulbous at base. Cap, gills and stalk browning in age.
