I think I see few of them scattered in photos of that other observation…
No idea what this might be.
Apothecia (if it’s apothecia) are the size of the sand grains (some can be seen in photos), while the entire patch is smaller than a dime. I thought it was Cladonia at first, since it shared the “perch” with it, but was able to separate the two (or three, or five – I never know how many species of Cladonia are there together).
