Observation 195254: Laetiporus gilbertsonii var. pallidus Burds.
When: 2014-12-30

Notes: I think this is a transient mushroom. I have not noticed in the past. It is semi soft – not very hard like a typical woodear. It has been rainy lately. It is growing on a oak tree, in a shade.

This guy is growing by the beach in Florida. A maritime hammock. On a southern oak tree that has Spanish moss on it too.

Curious to find out the species name as it could be edible?
