Observation 195869: Xanthoconium Singer
When: 2015-01-08

Notes: May be Boletellus. Nice colour on this fungi. I do not think I have ever loaed anything like this. The golden colour of the cap and stipe was wonderful. Found this single specimen in Soil covered with Eucalyptus leaves. Some rain had fallen the previous night. There was no bruising when bisected. Stipe was partially hollow. I hope to get time to do a micrograph tomorrow if the fungi is not identified.

is what I would call this thing. It seems to match what I have seen in several sites in Queensland. Closest to X. affine. Thanks, Ian.
