Observation 196139: Crepidotus vulgaris Hesler & A.H. Sm.

I was pulling up mushrooms growing on oak leaf litter and was surprised to see these 3 small white caps growing on the leaf/mycellium and in one case one on the stem of the mushroom.

These caps were 1/2 to 3/4 cm across. There were also many tiny caps about 1/2 to 1 mm across. There was no stem but a thicker attachment patch.

I am trying to get a spore print.

I think the Host mushroom is Gymnopus spongiosus, but I haven’t ID’d it yet.

See 3 small caps on oak leaf.
One cap was growing on the side of the host mushroom.
