little black dots in amongst that purple, hard to see in the photo. Whether they are pseudo or otherwise I cannot weigh in on.
I found something very similar in the Swiss Asco book, but forgot to note the name.
And I lost the stick because it looked a lot like well, a stick. It’s probably in my yard somewhere…

I saw this when it was posted, and couldn’t really tell anything from the photos — it sort of looks pseudotheciate instead of peritheciate, doesn’t it? Might be some sort of Loculoascomycete.

resemble anything I know of in Xylariaceae, unless the black dots are separate from the purple, in which case we’d need to see them in greater detail. Werdnus?
