Observation 196412: Hygrophorus Fr.

Growing under a live oak but with Doug fir and Madrone nearby.
Caps up to 8.1 cm across and very tacky(conditions relatively dry)
Slight odor(?) but not of almonds.
Stem slightly tacky and upper portion punctate.
Spore print white and spores not amyloid.
Spores ~ 6.9-10.1(11.0) X 4.3-7.2 microns, ellipsoid and smooth.
Q(range) = 1.33-1.63
Q(ave) = 1.45
Caps dried to a light maroon color(pinkish tints).
Stem dried whitish and gills to a lighter form of the cap.


Spores in Congo red + KOH @ 1000X.
