Location: about 10 feet from stream. Under mixed hardwoods and pines.
Taste: no taste.
Cap: Larger – 1.5 inch across. Radially streaked. Dark at center. Light yellow-brown for the outer half. Shape is convex. Cap was dry for the smaller upright mushroom, was tacky for the larger one which was trapped under leaves. 1/2 inch total thickness from top plane of the rim.
Gills: Off-white showing yellow shades near center. Joined to stem and slightly decurrent. Close. approx 1/4 inch breadth.
Stem: Dry for the upright one, covered with slime for the trapped one. Hollowing, 1 cm diameter for the larger mushroom. Fibrous but pliable. Stem is uniform with diameter but slightly clubbing at the base. Rooted in ground. Top of stem shows yellow color. see photos. 2.15 inches long on upright one.
Mushroom total length – 2.5 inches for upright one.
Spore Color: white, slightly off-white
