Notes: Growing under oaks in well-drained soil (mixed compost and decomposed sandstone). Caps of specimens 2.5 to 6 cm across, some minutely scaly and cracked. Some with hole in center. Some with lobed margin in age (see photo). Gills a little waxy, sinuate to slightly decurrent; lilac (young) to pinkish or skin tones in age. Spore print white. Stalks of specimens 4 mm to 1.5 cm across, 6 cm long, fibrillose.
