The type collection for H. conica is from Germany. According to available molecular information H. conica may not occur outside of Germany. There are 11 clades so far in this group that need further work. http://fungi.myspecies.info/...

I dont think singeri is correct.

Please visit http://www.MushroomExpert.com/hygrocybe_conica.html. Third paragraph down he states H. singeri is on the West Coast & upper Great Lakes. H. conica is widely distributed through North America.
